. This show is a telecast of the enactment of said story. The story revolves around Chandramani Patnaik, a middle aged man, and his wife, the protagonist, Sulochana. Sulochana is seen too often hit her husband with her broom “to reform him” from his long-running alcoholism and womanizing but to no avail. When Sulochana finds out that Chandramani has a fever, she decides to stop hitting him. However, she soon realizes that her husband hasn’t, in fact, stopped his drinking and womanizing. This solidifies her resolve towards her broomstick thrashings being his “Patent Medicine”. This show aired on Tarang TV from 2nd February 2012 onwards at 9pm, from Mondays to Thursdays. It was directed by Harish Mohanty. The characters have been portrayed by actors: Jaya, Rajdeep, and Elli.
