Aniruddh and Bondita have two kids, Durga and Devi. They travel to Darjeeling on their fifth birthday. The car crashed in an accident, and Aniruddh and Bondita died on the spot. Devi lost her memory due to the accident and Durga miraculously escaped. As Durga was lying behind the bush after being thrown out of the car, a driver who watched this accident took Devi and her dead parents without noticing Devi. Devi was renamed Charu by the circus employees, who adopted her. When Charu tries to escape from them, she is caught and sent to the wrong place. However, Durga helped her escape from the place. Soon, Charu’s adoptive parents accuse her, which lands her in jail.

Charu misunderstood that it was Durga who sent her to prison. Meanwhile, Durga shifted her base to Darjeeling to pursue further studies. Charu studies in the jail, for which Durga funds her without Charu’s knowledge. Will Charu find out the truth? The rest of the series deals with the lives of Durga and Charu.
