Aniruddh and Bondita are married and have two kids, Durga and Devi. On their fifth birthday, the family of four went to Darjeeling. In a terrible accident, the car crashed, and the parents died on the spot. Devi had a head injury and lost her memory and Durga was thrown out of the car and went behind a bush. A driver, who rushed to the scene, didn’t see Durga lying in the bush. He took Devi and her dead parents. After a few years, Devi, who was named Charu by her adoptive parents, the circus employees, tried to escape from them. But she was caught and sent to the wrong place. Soon, Durga helped her come out. In a turn of events, Charu’s adoptive parents accuse her and send her to jail. Charu misunderstood that due to Durga’s fault she is in prison. Meanwhile, Durga is sent to Darjeeling for further studies. Charu also studies in prison, unknowing that Durga funds her. When will she find out the truth? Durga Aur Chaaru is a Hindi TV serial. It premiered on Colors TV channel. The serial is produced under Shashi Sumeet Production House. The serial released its first episode on 12 December 2022. Durga and Chaaru is a sequel of another colors serial called Barister Babu. The storyline of the serial is in continuation to the original serial. Bondita gives birth to her twins, Durga and Chaaru after her husband dies. After the birth the twins get separated from each other. They are apart from each other and live different lifestyles. Their thoughts and ideologies are different from one another. But destiny had different plans for them. The sisters reunite after becoming adults.

They eventually learn the truth of their birth and figure out life together. During all this, the story introduces the male protagonist after the leap, Anirban. The serial presented a love triangle between the trios. Durga Aur Chaaru serial released 86 episodes in total. The viewers could not connect much to the storyline. Therefore, the production had to cut the story short. The main reason that the show ended early was the unexplainable twists. The sudden leaps and lose connections in the story could not survive. However, the cast of the serial did the acting part well and presented each emotion skillfully. The episodes of Durga and Charu serial are still available on JIO Cinema OTT platform.
