Arundhati is a soap opera and a family drama. It was produced by Ekta Kapoor Ekta Kapoor; a legendry producer in Indian TV and >> Read More... . It was telecasted on Zee Marathi from 10 October 2011 to 14 April 2012. It replaced the serial Bhagyalakshmi. It is about a simple and innocent girl, Arundhati, who works in a blind school and teaches blind children. She is a very nice person and loved by all children. She lives with her brother Shantanu and his father, who is a priest at the temple.

Digvijay is a blind man but a wealthy business tycoon. Kamini, his mother, fixes the marriage between Arundhati and Digvijay without telling Arundhati that Digvijay is blind. At the wedding, it is revealed to Arundhati when Digvijay falls on the diyas. Arundhati feels cheated and betrayed. But she loved Digvijay, so she tried to cope with the fact.

Slowly, living in the family, she gets to know about the cunning intentions of her mother-in-law and how she wants the wealth and property of the family. Arundhati tries to tell the truth to Digvijay, but he doesn’t listen. Kamini creates a rift between the two, distancing them. Arundhati finally exposes Kamini, and everyone is shocked. Everyone decides to leave the house and Kamini alone. Later, Kamini realises her mistakes and asks for forgiveness. Arundhati forgives her, but Digvijay is still angry. Somehow, she convinces him. Due to her failing health, she dies of a heart attack.
