Laxman Resha's story follows a girl named Shivani who loves to play Kabaddi, but her father refuses to let her because he is not so sure about the future of sports. His father instead wants her to follow his steps and have a political career. The story follows as Shivani has to step on the field to play because a teammate of her friend, Aruna's team, is injured and will not be able to continue the game.
This incident and playing the game again on the field revives Shivani’s hopes to play Kabaddi again and she, along with Aruna, tries to get a retired kabbadi player called Bhau to teach them. Bhau refuses because he does not like Shivani’s father. The story is about this pursuit of dreams with an undercurrent of the fight between the upper and lower caste of Hindus.
