Plot
Samuel Ummen is killed in a road accident. Antonio George, the investigation officer, suspects the accident after reaching the spot, as there are possibilities for murder. When it was considered a hit-and-run case, Antonio’s perspective on this case takes it to the next level of investigation. In the investigation, it was learned that Samuel met an advocate that day. The advocate quickly blames the boyfriend of Samuel’s daughter, Esther. Although he questions why he should kill his girlfriend’s father, he is put in the lockup. Later in the investigation, it is learned that the truck that hit Samuel’s vehicle belongs to Shaji, who lives in Esther’s boyfriend’s area. Who is the real culprit?
Star Performance
Sudev Nair delivers a decent performance. Jeo Baby, Akhil Kavalayoor, Arun Sol, Jordy Poojar, Ajay Vasudev, and Jins Baskar have done their best.
Analysis
The script is decent. But the characters are not well-designed. If Antonio’s character was properly written, Sudev’s performance would’ve been highlighted more than it is now. Also, the subplots are not explored fully. The plot twist is not properly utilized. The majority of twists are revealed through dialogue, and not through actions. That’s one of the significant minuses. The visuals are good from various angles. In the serious scenes, the BGM helped a lot to elevate them well. The editing is pretty decent, except for a couple of lengthy scenes.

Verdict
Although it may not be a compelling watch, Kammattam is a one-time watch for the performances!
