The story and screenplay are done by Simi Sadanandan and Athul TR. The show has four main characters Monish, Peter, Omar, and Dushyanth. The story begins with Monish, an employee at Infopark.

He has been working for a long period without any salary increment. The story starts with his confrontation with his boss about not receiving a promised increment. The boss dismisses his concerns, stating that only permanent employees are eligible for the raise. Monish becomes frustrated. He points out his six years of service and multiple completed projects. He questioned what the permanent employees have accomplished. The boss deflects, reminding him of a promise to address the issue in March. The next character Peter is a film enthusiast. He has given an audition. The director suggested an offensive and racist dialogue. Peter becomes reluctant to say that dialogue. As a result, the director dismisses him. The next character Omar is a delivery boy who is also poor. He tries to cheat while making payments as he has no money. The last character is Dushyanth who is a heist enthusiast. The financial difficulties of these four characters become the theme of the show.

This group of friends discusses their financial situations. Monish is employed as a system security head at Infotech. He reveals that his salary is 15,000 rupees per month. He has completed six years of service. But still, he has not received any promotion or extra incentive. This makes his job extra boring. They discuss about the value of education versus practical work experience. They compare the salary of a security to that of a cleaning lady. A cleaning lady earns more without any formal education. But the educated people are not getting enough salary for their work. The conversation then takes a turn toward planning a heist. One character, Dushyant (referred to as Dushy), begins to formulate a plan for a money heist. Initially, his friends didn’t agree to the idea. But then they agree to participate. The team then prepares their plan for the heist. They discuss various aspects of operations. They made plans about how to evade CCTV cameras and how to deal with potential police encounters. The group successfully carries out the plan. As only one member was supportive at the beginning.

Then everybody engages in it. The heist became a necessity for them as their financial stability ws completely gone. After the heist, the group reconvenes to discuss their next steps. They burn some evidence and realize that news of their crime hasn't spread yet due to the timing of a temple's reopening. The group then establishes rules for their future heists. No superstitions or excuses to leave the group mid-plan, they will only conduct five heists in total, No one's life should be endangered by their actions (with some conditions), they should not get personally involved or use their real names during the heists, they need to recruit two more people, including a female member who should be treated as an equal team member. Overall the story is about four friends who are struggling financially and try to attempt a heist. They then make a brilliant plan and carry on it.
