Kudumbayogam is a Malayalam serial telecasted on Surya TV. ‘Kudumbayogam’ means ‘emotional bond within family’. Serial’s director, K.K. Rajeev has tried to move viewers’ perception about typical storyline of a serial to a more contemporary one. Right from the concept to the content of the story, this serial stands out of the crowd. Basically, the story revolves around a rigid Malyali Catholic family, and Alona, a Russian girl. Alona’s father marries a Russian woman, and thus his family does not accept it.
Later, the family decides to call Alona all over from Russia to teach her Indian values. The story takes a twirl when her entry creates some unusual things to stack up. Also, her father’s younger sister decides to stay unmarried her entire life. Alona’s unusual situations and aunt’s decision of staying unmarried are woven in some or the other way. Actress playing ‘Alona’ is Shaalin Zoya. She is a well-known actress in the industry for the diversity she displays in her acting.
