making her Malayalam TV debut. This television show is based on the life of Apporva, better known as Appu, a young transgender woman who discovers that she was born in the wrong body. She enjoys riding her bike and playing basketball, and she is in love with a girl. However, she is afraid to be herself because she fears what people will think of her. But as she gradually comes to realise how crucial self-love is, she begins to embrace herself and begin living for herself. In this serial, Riya Kuriyakose has played the role of Apporava, the girl who realises that she is transgender; Parvathy Iyer has played the role of Malavika, the love interest of Apporva; and Mukundan has played the role of Vijay. With 300+ episodes airing from Monday to Friday at 7 p.m., it is the first show on Indian TV to portray the life of a transgender person and show the mental and physical struggle that they go through to live their life.
