Sujatha Mohan (Sujatha or Baby Sujatha) is one of the most prolific singers after S. Janaki, P. Susheela, and K.S. Chitra. She has sung nearly 10,000 songs in many Indian languages and has performed over 5000 live concerts in her career. She came to spotlight while singing songs with K.J. Yesudas in musical concerts. This fetched her recognition, and she got her first break as a playback singer when she was in the sixth standard. 

Sadhana Sargam is a playback singer of Indian cinema who predominantly now sings in South Indian and Bengali films. She debuted in Bollywood as a singer and has done playback singing in many Hindi films. She had initial training under her mother Neela Ghanekar, who was a classical singer too. Born as Sadhana Ghanekar in Mumbai on March 7, 1974, she changed her name to Sadhana Sargam on advice given by Kalyanji Anandji, who had promoted her singing career. 

Sithara Krishnakumar, or as we call her Sithara, is a splendid playback singer. She started off her career in 2007 with her first song ‘PammiPammi’. She got a kick to her profession after winning several musical talent shows like AsianetSapthaSwarangal (2004), Kairali TVGandharvaSangeetham and Jeevan TV Voice. She has now given her voice to over fifty film songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Her forte is folk and fusion genres of music. Sithara is on a musical roller-costar with a specialty in various styles including Hindustani classical, Carnatic and Gazals. Born in Kozhikode, Kerala, this lady started to sing at the age of as early as four. She was born and brought in the music world as the family was already inclined towards classical art.

Deepthi Vidhu Prathap is an actress, TV presenter, and classical dancer. She was born and raised in Kallam, Kerala. She did her post-graduation in Bharatanatyam. She has performed in many places and cultural programs, including International Dance Festival, Soorya Festival, and dance productions like Manjurukum Puzha, Njanappaana, Poothapattu, and Pranamam under directors like Lenin Rajendran, Soorya Krishnamoorthy, and T.K. Rajeev Kumar. She is happily married to the Indian playback singer Vidhu Pratap. They tied the knot in August 2008. She debuted in 2001 with the movie "Nagaravadhu," starring Saikumar, Vani Viswanath, Rajan P. Dev, and Janardhanan. The film was directed by Kaladharan.

Sujith Vasudevan is a music director and a singer who mainly composes film scores for Malayalam films. He is prominently known by his stage name ‘Sharreth’. He composed music for some of the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films as well.

Sreekumaran Thampi is a director, producer, lyricist, and screenwriter. He is known for his performances mainly in Malayalam cinema. Sreekumaran was born on March 16, 1940. He debuted in the Malayalam industry as a lyricist in the year 1966 by P. Subramaniam in the movie Kaattumallika. He has written more than a thousand songs, produced 22 films, written scripts for around 78 movies and directed 29 films. Sreekumaran believes that he is more of a lyricist than a producer. His works as a composer include "Hridayasarasile pranayapushpame", Chandrikayilaliyunna Chandrakaantham", Swonthamenna padathinendhartham.

This singer got two national awards for his playback in his career. Once he got for a song “Nadha Roopini’ which was picturized on Mohan Lal for his film ‘His Highness Abdulla” (1990). In 1999, he got another national award for film ‘Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum’ for the song "Chanthu Pottum". Malayalam star Mohan Lal is one of the most natural actors to have graced the screen. He is spontaneous, lively and expressive, and there was something very refreshing about his every role, hence when Sreekumar sang for him – this became on a deadly combination. This singer has shown equal mastery and musical aesthetics while handing classical songs in other films too. The versatile playback singer had a depth of his musical knowledge and had handled the toughest of the songs with consummate ease. Every song that he had rendered will speak more on musical sensibilities that had emotive musical expression too. This singer was born on 25 May, 1957 in Haripad, Kerala. His family had a tradition of classical music, and his brothers are too singers and music composer in the industry. He also appeared as an anchor for musical reality TV shows for the younger generation( SaReGaMA and Star Singer).

K.S. Harishankar is a famous Malayalam film industry playback singer. He has made his debut at the very early age of 5 and with a great singer K.J. Yesudas in the movie ‘Saaphalyam’ released in 1999 and was directed by G.S. Vijayan. His career got a lift from the song “Jeevamshamayi” from the movie ‘Theevandi’ released in 2018 and was directed by Fellini T.P. He was born in Haripad, Alappuzha district in Kerala, India. His father’s name is Dr. Alappuzha Sreekumar and his Mother’s name is Kamala Lakshmi.

P. Jayachandran is a South Indian playback singer. Often, he is also affectionately called the Bhava Gayakan in the industry. This singer had worked in close collaboration with A R Rahman and even Illayaraja. With Illaryaraja, he had given numerous popular hits in Tamil movies, and he even sang a Hindi song for an A R Rahman’s composition. For a Malayalam movie’ Pennpada’ that released in 1975, a song that he had sung is considered to the first composition of A R Rahaman. This singer also had given his voice for music composer M S Viswanathan, who is also known as ‘Mellisai Mannar’ in Tamil cinema. In 1985. He is also one -time National award winner for playback in the year 1986. In Tamil cinema, he has rendered some soulful numbers such as ‘Raasaathi Unna‘ for the film like ‘Vaidhegi Kaathirundhaal’ and "Mayanginen Solla Thayanginen’ for film 'Naane Raja Naane Manthiri’. There are numerous melodious tune of Ilayaraja in which he has given his golden voice. 

This playback singer can catch the notes of Mridangam, and this could be the reason why he was a favourite for Illaryaraja. He has mastered the art of playing Mridangam at a younger age. He cruised his way to perfection due to a support of his mother Subhadra Kunjamma, who was a great music lover, and her inspiration had paved the way for P Jayachandran to blossom into a playback artist in no time. He has also sung a Hindi song with Bollywood’s most prolific singer Alka Yagnik. He has recorded songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. He is of an opinion that nowadays songs in movies do not even suit the situation and has just become a venue for business. New generation songs will not remain in public hear and go off without creating any milestone in the music world. He also felt only better writers and musicians can pull back the music industry from this bad phase now.
