Namune is a Hindi TV serial, which aired on the channel Sab TV. The show aired on Saturday and Sunday. The first episode was telecast on 21 July 2018 and the show stopped on 14 October 2018. Namune had a total of 26 episodes. The serial is based on P.L. Deshpande’s characters. P.L. Deshpande, also known as Purushottam Laxman Deshpande, was a famous Marathi humorist and writer from Maharashtra. P.L. Deshpande was also a film and stage actor, script writer, and musician. He is often referred to as Maharashtra’s Beloved Personality. His works have been translated into many languages. P.L. Deshpande’s works are mostly funny and are deep-rooted in Marathi culture.

Namune is the story of Niranjan Agnihotri, who is a very serious policy insurance worker. Niranjan Agnihotri is often seen cribbing and cursing the troubles he has faced in life. All the other characters in the show try to make Niranjan’s life easier. Niranjan is very stressed in life and is very dejected, he has often seen reading P.L. Deshpande’s works in the story, and whenever he reads these stories, P.L. Deshpande, himself appears in front of Niranjan. The story shows how P.L. Deshpande changes Niranjan’s life by educating him.
