Khichadi season 2 is also known as Instant Khichadi, and this series was the sequel to Khichadi. This series aired on Star Plus from July 1, 2005, to August 7, 2005. The story of Khichadi season 2 revolves around the Parekh family, a Gujarati joint family who lives together to get separated from each other. They try to convince the head of the house, their father to let them live separately. But, he gives them a choice to walk away and live on their own. But, no one dares to disobey his order due to their share in his property.
Now, everyone live together while waiting their father to change his mind or stop breathing. Khichadi gives a sneak peek into the lives of middle-class joint families who deal with the problems in a very unimaginable and funny way. This Parekh family includes an older man, his son Praful, and his wife Hansa, widowed daughter-in-law Jayshree and her children, Jackie and Chakki.
