Courage is the name of a dog who is abandoned by his parents. Muriel Bagge named him Courage and cared for him. Muriel and Eustace Bagge, her husband, are living in an isolated farmhouse. Eustace is a cranky man, and he doesn’t like Courage. He calls him a Stupid dog, and often uses the Ooga Booga mask to frighten Courage. Frequently, monsters, zombies, and aliens visit Courage and his owners. Courage’s task is to protect his owners from supernatural creatures. Though he is a cowardly dog, he uses all his courage to protect his owners in necessity.
Most of the characters are recurring in this series, including Dr Vindaloo, Eustace’s mother Ma, Katz, Snowman, Le Quack, and Di Lung. A sentient computer, voiced by Simon Prebble is one of the most important characters in Courage The Cowardly Dog.
