Radio Mirchi annually presents the Mirchi Music Awards to honor the music film industry of India. The first award function was held on 2009 and Sony Network was the broadcasting partner from 2009 to 2011. From 2012 to 2014, the Colors Network took over the broadcasting license and 2015 to present, Zee network starts to telecast the show. From artistic, technical, it has 17 different categories to honor the talents. On 2009 Mirchi awards turned its focus to Southern industry and launched the Mirchi Music Awards South in 2010. It includes the overall South Indian Film Industries like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Additionally, on 2012, Mirchi Music Awards Bangla, was also launched to award the best Bengali edition of 2011.
