Skins Series is a British-based serial telecast on E4 channel. This program is all about the teenage group people’s lifestyle in the British colony. The ‘E’ in the channel name represents entertainment. E4 is the British English Channel which targets mainly to attract the age group people ranging 15-30. The series started its telecast from 25 January 2007 and comprised 9 episodes which ended on 22 March 2007.

The creators of this show were Bryan Lesley and Jamie Brattain. The creators of this series are the writers in the father-and-son Television network. This program is a teenage drama which completely attracted the audience of the same age group. This serial consists of seven series in total. E4 channel itself states that it mainly focuses on dragging viewers for the show from young age group people.

The serial particularly rolls on eight characters who are all students. The theme of the serial is to explain the character and nature of students studying the sixth form. The director of the series was most successful in showing the general features of the youth to the public. The teenager in the story lives in Bristol, England. In this series, each episode is focused on a particular character and shown the problems faced by them in their life.

The first episode of the show reveals the eight characters attending to a party conducted by the higher standard girl named Abigali. In this episode, Sid tries to lose his virginity in which he fails with over dosage of drugs. In the continuation part, Jell is seeking to win BBC Young Musician of the Year, and the strange relationship with her music teacher. On the other hand, Sid was struggling with their divorced parents. Meanwhile, all other characters try to help them.

The sixth episode is all about the trip of the students to Russia. The complete story turns into a well cooked in the span of this tour. Each character tries out their style to make something new, meanwhile falls into problems. The ending of the story is at the birthday party of Anwar where everyone accepts their mistakes and promises not to make such fault again and sings a wild word song. This serial is the series which every teenager has to watch and make their life out of troubles by avoiding such silly mistakes shown in the serial. This drama is about the group of teens who are trying to grow up, love and find happiness despite questionable parenting. So the first episode starts when Tony makes plans for Sid to lose virginity at Abigail’s party. On the other hand Sid ends up bringing three ounces of drug instead on one which he was asked to bring. Luckily at the party Sid gets to chat with Cassie but she soon crashed due to her over dose of sleeping pills. The first episode ended with crashing Abigail’s dad’s car into the harbour, while they take Cassie to the hospital.

The second episode talks about Cassie’s family and friends. They are wrapped up so much into their world to notice Cassie stop eating. The next episode talks about Jal, his ultimate aim and passion to become the young musician of the year. Meanwhile, Sid is stuck up with his own personal problems. In the fourth episode, Sid is totally upset. He cannot take his best mate’s girl, Michelle from his head. He is sexually frustrated and also he didn’t score good grades in his course work.

The next episode is full of fun and adventure. Maxxie and Anwar’s friendship is put under trail as they go on for a disastrous school trip. The Seventh episode revolves around Michelle, She has had enough. She had to sacrifice Tony, but is not ready to give up on Michelle. In the next episode they find that Tony’s younger sister Effy never speaks to anyone nor she sneaks out of the house during night. Tony on the other hand is more concerned about her younger sister.

The first season of Skin comes to an end with Anwar’s birthday. Unfortunately no one is mood to celebrate; they had wonderful consequences and scores to be settled. The first season of Skin depicts more about the friends who come together to have fun, enjoy, party, go on trips and yet hold on to one another even when problems arise.
