. Danielle Rose Russell plays the 17 year-old Hope Michelson, continuing the role she played in the fifth and final season of The Originals. Matt Davis also acts in the series as Alaric Saltzman from The Vampire Diaries.
The CW continued the series with a second season in January 2019 and is set to launch on October 10, 2019. Legacies shows Hope Michelson, the daughter of Klaus Michelson and Hayley Marshall, descended from the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch blood. Two years after the occurrences of The Originals, Hope goes to the Salvatore School for the young and special. The school offers a place where supernatural people can learn to control their impulses, abilities, and powers.
