Black is a supernatural thriller series that was aired on the A&E network. It is a dubbed version of the Korean series and was broadcasted in the year 2017 and has a total of 18 episodes. The story revolves around a grim reaper and a girl who can foresee death. Ha-ram was blessed with the ability to foresee death on viewing the shadows of the people, but in her childhood, everyone neglected her thinking that she was cursed. Because of this, she prefers to wear sunglasses so that she can be normal like others. Later, she meets detective Han, where he explains the positive side of her ability, and she can use it to save people’s lives. Ha-ram and Han both work on a mission to save the lives of people.

Meanwhile, in heaven, the grim reaper 444 (black) is known as the cold-hearted brutal soul collector who happens to visit earth in search of a grim fugitive reaper. While on a mission, detective Han was shot dead, and his body was taken over by black with his plan to find the other grim reapers with the assistance of Ha-ram, so that the other grim reapers will not be able to detect him if he took over a human body. As detective Han fetches over a new soul, he loses his original character and turns into a short-tempered and arrogant person. Instead of locating the other grim reapers, he is deviated on solving an uncovered truth that happened in the past about two decades ago. Black finds out that the detective Han is his half-brother, and the remaining episodes reveal about the past life of Black.

In Black’s childhood, his name was Han Moo Chan, and he is shot accidentally by a small girl named Ha-ram, and his heart is taken off by his adoptive mother, and she hides about his death. Ha-ram faces the guilt of knowing the incident she did in the past and suffers from depression. In the meantime, Black also falls in love with her by breaking the supernatural rules. He turns himself in heaven for committing a mistake and decides to face up the consequences. Black also erases Ha-ram memory, and he also repeals her ability so that she can lead a life which she longed since childhood. In the last episode, after her death, she recollects her memory about the grim reaper, and they are reunited to lead an eternal life in heaven.

The unique concept of this series is appreciated by the audience. The cast members of this series are Song Seung-Heon (detective/grim reaper), Go Ara (Ha-ram) play the prominent role in this series. The series is written by Choi Ran and was directed by Kim Hong-Sun.
