Season 2 starts with Alap staying with Shruti at her house in Anandagarh. They have found all the discs of Amanat Khan. But Alap is still very obsessed with finding Tansen’s Raga Sanjeevani. Here, Alap reveals that his mother, Rohini, is Rudrabhairab’s captive. Rudrabhairab is after Raga Sanjeevani as it will give him immortality. Alap wants to get to it first to save his mother. Alap and Shruti think about checking their garden house for further clues. They discover an old veena with a diary where Rohini had written music. They also find a pen with the same symbol as the tattoo on the necks of Salamat and Noor Jahan Noor Jahan is a famous Pakistani Urdu television d >> Read More... . Alap believes that Salamat and Noor did not die due to brain hemorrhage but were a planned murder. Naad comes to Anandagarh to steal Amanat Khan’s discs from Alap. He successively steals them and hands them to Rudrabhairab. Alap and Shruti find that Naad had killed Salamat and Noor Jahan under the orders of Rudrabhairab. They also doubt that Kedar was previously a resident of Rudrapur. To get more clues, they check the post-mortem report of Shruti’s grandmother, Mumtaz. They are surprised to discover that she died of a brain hemorrhage as well.

Alap remembers a servant, Anadi has the same symbol on his waist. They go to Anadi’s house to discover that Naad has killed him. They learn that Shruti’s grandfather had lied to everyone when he brought Shruti’s father, Lalit, Mohini, Alap’s father to Anandargh under the pretext that their house had drifted away in the heavy flood. They were from Rudrapur and wanted to come to Anandagarh to learn music. Now they know why these people had the same tattoo. Rudrabhairab keeps track of Shruti and Alap. They meet Ramnidhi, who reveals Rudrabhairab’s true mission. Alap and Shruti visit every sangeet guru in the area to learn about the mystery of Raga Sanjeevani.

Finally, they discover Guru Shashikanta Mishra, who has some knowledge about it. Rudrabhairab learns from Amanat Khan’s disc that they need seven musicians with seven musical instruments in the Shiv temple of Anandagarh to reveal the Raga Sanjeevani. Naad kidnaps Saaz, Alap, and Shruti and takes them to the Shiv temple. There, Shruti’s family, Alap’s parents, Rudrabhairab, and his men were already present. They play music to find another clue. The clue was to sing a certain note in a certain decibel. Naad tries this but fails, but when Alap tries, he succeeds. The idol of Shiv shifts to reveal the Raga Sanjeevani, which has a magical tune written on it.

Rudrabhairab orders his men to kill everyone as he already obtained the Raga Sanjeevani. But his men realize that he is a selfish and cruel man who will never look after the village as he promises. They refuse to accept his orders. Rudrabhairab instigates the men by saying he will help them remove the curse of drought in the village. He taunts Alap that even if he possesses the Raga Sanjeevani, he cannot undo the curse. To this, Alap goes out of the temple and sings the Raga Sanjeevani tune. Magically, the river that was dried for years began flourishing with water. Here, it is revealed that the original descendants of Mandini were Mohini and Alap and not Shruti and her mother.
