Pocketmaar (2017) is a TV mini-series from the Paranoia series of the Hoichoi channel. This is a horror tale for liars. Shristi, an office worker, is a habitual liar who has the power to pull off very convincing stories. One day, while being late to work, to save face, she makes up a lie about encountering a pickpocket. To sound satisfying enough, her lie was aggravating enough to an extent that she felt she had lived the lie, blurring all lines between reality and fiction. Sayani Ghosh is impressive as Shristi. She is both the perpetrator and the victim of her lie.
