Maya is a Bengali serial on the Sun Bangla channel. The serial premiered in August 2019. Originally made in Tamil, they later dubbed the serial into various Indian regional languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Nandas directed while Sundar C. and Kalasekaram Narasimman co-wrote the soap opera. Sundar C. and Kushboo co-produced the 87-episode drama under the banner of Avni Telemedia. on account of face transplant scene in the show) starred in the serial. The serial has a few fantasy elements to it, but it packs a very basic plot. Maayan, the undefeated general of a powerful dynasty, is defeated in a battle with the devas.
However, he is blessed with a boon such that he can seek revenge. 2000 years later, he returns to avenge himself and resorts to unfair means to overthrow the just and deserving. The Bengali dubbed version of the Sun Network serial ended in November 2019.
