Basundhara is a Bengali drama serial on Aakash Aath that focuses on the life and story of a widow named Basundhara. Basundhara gets married to Ashoknath and enters her in-laws place with high hopes regarding her new life. Her dreams come true and she is loved and cherished by her husband, who supports her at every moment of her life, and also gets a family which adores her.
However, good things don't last long and her husband gets killed in an accident. This brings a tide of sadness and devastation on the whole family and Basundhara feels her heart getting shattered as she faces the reality that she is a widow. Her life takes a certain turn from here as she finds herself in the midst of obstacles and absolute chaos. Her hardships grow and she faces several challenges at once. How she overcomes these obstacles and deals with her own guilt constitutes the rest of the episodes.
