Agni Jugar Padatik is a Bengali historical drama serial broadcasted on Zee Bangla. The story is based in an India conquered and ruled by the British. The common people living under their rule are suffering due to oppression and cruelty. Revolts are happening everywhere and in the midst of the chaos, a young Indian man who had been working as a British major suddenly disappears without any notice, leaving his rank and job behind.
 It is revealed that he had decided to leave the job to fight for his own people, to fight for freedom. In order to do so, he had managed to flee and join a political party and is now labeled as a criminal by the British. How the upper caste such as the zamindars are involved in the whole political uprising to overthrow the British and how the leaders of such small political groups manage to hasten the process is what constitutes the rest of the serial.
