Astitwa is a drama serial that was broadcasted on Rengoni TV and focuses on women empowerment. The serial tells the story of a married woman who suffers the wrath of her husband silently. Male dominance has always been a major issue in a marital relationship.
This, along with various extra-marital affairs, frivolity and abuse, has rendered the woman to lose her identity in the whole process. She doesn’t know if she belongs anywhere anymore.
In order to find herself she sets out on a ‘quest’ to regain her dignity and identity. As the serial progresses, she gradually becomes stronger and independent which helps her to gain confidence and establish herself as her own support system.
