The serial tells the story of a young girl named Manahil who is brought up by her uncle’s family after the death of her parents. The family constitutes of her uncle named Adil, his wife named Naureen and their daughter named Neelam.

Throughout the show it is shown that her Manahil’s uncle and aunt treat her like their own daughter and Neelam is also extremely fond of her. Adil’s family happens to meet a young business tycoon Khayam who is portrayed as a young, kind-hearted man who has a distinct void in his heart after the death of his father. He had been left tormented once his father had committed suicide after his mother had left them for her lover. He fears to love someone and hence even though he is rich, he feels sad and lonely. His sister and brother-in-law have made several attempts to change his mind about the concept of love and tried to arrange his marriage but in vain. However, when he meets an innocent soul such as Manahil, he feels attracted to her and it seems like love at first sight but he remains in denial about his feelings although he enjoys her company.

Meanwhile Meekal, the son of Adil’s childhood friend comes to visit them and for his job as an engineer. Soon, he becomes a part of their family and develops feelings for Manahil which seems to be mutual from both the sides. When Khayam’s family arranges his marriage with Manahil, she denies the relationship as she doesn’t feel the attraction between them. Neelam on the other hand falls for Meekal and Manahil notices this. She decides to become distant towards Meekal so that Neelam finds her happiness as she feels indebted to the family. However, Neelam soon realizes that both Meekal and Mnahil are madly in love with each other which leads to further twists and turns in the story.
