Yeh Chahatein Yeh Shiddatein is a Pakistani drama serial written by Sumaira Sharif Toor and directed by Ramish Rizvi. The serial is based on the novel of the same name and contains a total of 25 episodes. The serial tells the story of a young woman name Nawaira and how love can turn into obsession making people lose control over themselves. Nawaira’s cousins Raza and Shariq are deeply and madly in love with her. When Nawaira gets engaged to Nawaz, Raza gets deeply hurt and this affects his own relationship with his fiancée Rimsha. Raza had been in love with Nawaira since a very young age even though he is younger than her. Rimsha knows of his infatuation and hence starts to dislike Nawaira blaming her for the failing relationship.

Shariq on the other hand is yet another cousin of Nawaira who has been secretly in love with her. Nawaira, oblivious to his love for her often visits the house to meet her aunt. This pushes Shariq’s love for her turn into a deadly obsession. When Shariq gets to know about the engagement he decides to take matters into his own hands and kidnaps Nawaira. This in turn causes the engagement to getting called off and chaos ensues in the life of Raza and Nawaira. Never did she imagine her own cousins to unleash hell in her life.
