Bojh is a family drama that depicts the struggles of living in a large family without a decent income. This tv serial was aired in 2015 on GEO TV. The father is an aged man who works in a shop. He has three daughters and a son. This drama highlights Asian society's notion of considering a girl child to be a burden in the family. Having three daughters, their family is always concerned about marrying them off as soon as possible. This hastiness also comes with the tensions of paying the dowry in a girl's marriage. We see dialogues highlighting the parents' struggle because they have three girls in the family. Even though one of his daughters has completed her graduation, she is not allowed to work. It shows the rigidity and orthodox nature of their upbringing. The first episode shows the parents struggling to get their daughters married.

However, their attempts are futile as they are asked to pay a hefty sum as a dowry in marriage. On the other hand, the only son of this family is a grown man who wanders around loitering with friends and wasting time. He does not have a job or help his father with work. In this serial, the girl child is called 'bojh,' which means burden. But the truth is that the girls of this household try every way to help their parents. They are capable but not allowed to work because society would consider their parents irresponsible only because their daughter earns money.

Such illogical rules are still followed in many households and societies. The parents care so much about what the community would say that they are ready to squash their children's happiness in this process. Due to the fear of being unable to pay the dowry, the first two daughters are married to their cousins, who are unsuitable grooms. They face hardships in their life initially, but all is solved when their husbands come to better realizations. Soon the third daughter is also married despite many complications. The irresponsible son also mends his ways and realizes his responsibilities as a brother and son of the family. The serial ends as their parents thank God because they have successfully gotten their daughters married.
