Boota from Toba Tek Singh is a 1999 tv serial aired on PTV. It was a famous serial back in the year. The series has 22 episodes of 19 to 20 minutes each. Boota is from a place called Toba Tek Singh. Being the only son of a landlord is always up for troublesome activities. He does not show any responsibility for working for a better future. Disinterested in studying from childhood, Boota fails throughout the school. The story turns out when Boota comes across a beautiful girl named Mahru. Unfortunately, Mahru requires help as her car breaks down in front of Boota's village. Mahru becomes Boota's new reason for mischief.

As he learns she is from Lahore, Boota leaves his hometown and runs to Lahore. In Lahore, Boota is exposed to the newness of a big city for a village boy like him. Mahru, on the other hand, has problems of her own. She works in an advertising agency. She is in love with Meeru, who has a shattered personality. Meeru is afraid of showing vulnerability, leading him to gather information about Mahru and use it to blackmail her. Despite being in love with Mahru, Meeru is afraid, to be honest with his feelings.
