Sri Venkateshwara Suprabhatham is played on Bhakthi TV, every morning at 5:30 am. Lord Venkateshwara is considered as “Kaliyuga daivam”. According to Hindu mythology, five thousand years ago, Lord Venkateshwara has made Tirumala his domicile, where devotees have built a temple, which has been full of worshipers ever since.
Sri Venkateshwara Suprabhatham is a Sanskrit poem, written by Prativadi Bhayankara Sri Anantacharya, a Tamil and Sanskrit scholar in the year 1430 A.D. The poem consists of four parts: Suprabhatham, Sri Venkateshwara Stothram, Prapatti and Mangalasasanam. The term Suprabhatham means “auspicious morning”, and is recited early in the morning by pandits in every temple harboring the deity Venkateshwara, to wake him up. This tradition is also practiced in many Hindu households, where the first song to be played in their houses is the Suprabhatham.
The poem consists of 29 slokas. The first slokam is about Lord Rama, and the second one is about Lord Krishna, both of which are two avatars of Lord Vishnu.
