Koti and Chennayya is telecasted in Chandana TV on every Sunday from 9 am to 9.30 am. This serial is based on the real story of the Tulu Nadu. Tulu Nadu is the part of coastal Karnataka including Mangalore, Udupi region. Koti and Chennayya both are brothers ruling Tulu Nadu. They fought against injustice and for the welfare of the people of Tulu Nadu. They died in the battle for protecting land and people. The story depicts the cultural heritage and traditional values of the Tulu Nadu. Based on this story, late Muddu Suvarna produced the serial in Tulu language in 1972.In Kannada his son K. Ashok M Suvarna is producing the serial to showcase the courage, values, tradition and culture of these two warriors in Tule Nadu. This story consists of 250 episodes. It has around 30 folk songs. The serial is shot in and around Udupi. Some of the episodes were shot at the historic places that belong to Koti Chennayya. Koti Chennayya serial is produced by Praja Films, Katpadi. The producer of this serial is K Ashok Suvarna. Chandrahas Alva is the director of this serial who is trained under renowned Kannada film director, the late Puttanna Kanagal. Dr Mohan Alva is acting as Perumala Ballal and Udaya Shetty act as Koti. The songs are composed by Dr B A Vivek Rai, Amrita Someshwar, Ganesh Amin Sankamar and Vamana Nandavara. The other star casts are Udaya Kumar Shetty, Inna Pradeep, actress are Poornima Suresh.
