‘Khan Sisters’ that was telecast in UTV Bindaas was a poor copy of an American show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians ‘which had kept a focus on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian–Jenner blended family. But in India, the idea of creating a reality series 'Khan Sisters' came up when the two sisters Gauahar and
Nigaar Khan showed an interest in appearing on a television show together with their family.
The production house UTV Bindass hired a camera man to visit the Khan Sister's family house and tape them, and thus, the show was eventually picked up. The show went on air in 2011. Both the sisters have felt that it is still network's flagship show and the most lucrative franchise.
The production house UTV Bindass highlighted the personal lives of these two glamorous actresses, the kind of guests they receive at home, the kind of relationships they share with the family, etc. and those episodes were caught on camera for the viewers. The reality show had documented the personal lives of these two sisters so well, that they felt to produce even season-2 of this show.
