Plot

Guru Paramahamsa is running a Vedic school. He is a great astrologer and an expert in palmistry. Vikram Aditya is a leading astrologer and palmist. His predictions had never gone wrong, and people waited for his predictions. He believes that he can’t fall in love with anyone, as he has no such lines on his hands. But, when he meets Dr. Prerna, he falls for her. Though he feels that he shouldn’t love her, he cannot. When Vikram predicts her future as a bright one, the things that happen don’t look like that. As Vikram predicts his future, he leaves Prerna and moves to London. Why did he go? What happens to Prerna? What’s his connection with Guru Paramahamsa? The rest of the film deals with all these!

Star Performance

Although Prabhas looks good, we couldn’t see the smart and stylish man we saw before, “ Saaho Click to look into! >> Read More... .” Prabhas and Pooja Hegde had performed decently. The rest of the cast has done what is required.

Analysis

The director has given a period romance story with Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. Though they have performed well, the characterization needs some more depth. The screenplay is not moving at the right pace; at times, it moves quickly and crawls in some places. Many characters come and go without any reason or connection to the scene. Similarly, many scenes make us feel that they could have been explained better. The logic gets a band-aid in some places. But, there is no flaw in the grandeur and the VFX. The film is visually pleasing in many scenes, and the BGM is neat. Though the running time is less than two and a half hours, we feel it is lengthy for the script.

Verdict

The film was hyped much, and hence the audience expected a lot from the team. Though the leads attract the audience, the film would have reached well if the screenplay and execution had been better. After the mega-hit “Baahubali,” Prabhas hadn’t yet gotten a super story from his latest releases. However, Radhe Shyam is watchable once! Go to the theaters without much expectations on the script, actors, and direction. You will like it for its making!
