For a couple of years, Sunil didn't have anything big to boast about, and now he features in Krishnashtami, which is directed by Vasu Varma. Let’s see how the movie has turned out to be.
Plot
Sunil is happily settled in the U.S. for over 18 years. Though his uncle, Mukesh Rishi disapproves him of coming to India, Sunil longs to be with his near and dear ones. And he even disobeys his uncle and comes to India. He bounces upon Nikki Galrani in the airport and falls in love with her. He also happens to meet Ajay. On landing in India, some rowdies attack Sunil. What happens next? Why have they attacked him? Watch the movie to find out.
Star Performances
Sunil had done what he could to justify his role (though there are loopholes in his characterization) and shakes his legs with gusto. However, he could have worked well on comedy, which was his forte. Nikki Galrani, in her first Telugu film, does a convincing job. Viva Harsha, Mukesh Rishi, and Ashutosh Rana does what is required of them. Brahmanandam and Saptagiri don't give the required comic touch to the film.
Analysis
The movie has the backdrop of the village side of Rayalaseema and also abroad.
We are used to seeing such films that one wonders why filmmakers don't come out of their comfort zone.
