Plot

Chandrabose is an ex-Raw executive. He was stamped for treachery and was not seen thereafter. His son Vijayaprakash is a Police Inspector, who does anything for publicity. He falls in love with Shalini, a lawyer. Vijay gets a case to find out the missing file that has military secrets that involve a social activist, Mangai. While dealing with the case, he finds out that it has a connection with Sardar, an ex-spy. Is he really connected? Was Vijay able to find out the truth behind the case and save Mangai? The rest of the film showcases these.

Star Performance

Karthi excelled in both characters. His action performances and body language are fantastic. After a long, Laila made her screen appearance. She did her part well. Raashi is neat with her role. Rajisha has done a good job and proved once again that she is a natural actress.

Analysis

PS Mithran has come up with a good script. The life of a spy is showcased well. The screenplay is interesting, and the character design is done well with decent logic and effort. Many scenes made the audience watch the screens keener, and that’s the success of the perfectly executed screenplay. The cinematography is good, and the editing is perfect too. Kudos to the production designer and his team for the excellent backdrops. The music gels well with the story. As perfect artists are picked, the performances are really a treat to watch.

Verdict

Sardar is an excellent film for Karthi fans, and it is a Diwali treat for sure! For action movie lovers and Spy thriller watchers, it is definitely a one-time watch!
