Plot
Ramar comes late to the Usilampatti goat fight. He has a goat, Kali, who faces off against Ghabra Karthi’s goat, Anugundu, the current champion. After 17 rounds, Kali breaks Anugundu’s horn, making Ramar Madurai’s Jockey. After losing to Ramar, Karthi becomes furious and takes revenge. Karthi started humiliating Ramar and his family. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Yuvan and Ridhaan play decently. The supporting actors did a fair job compared to the main actors. Madhu Sudhan Rao did a good job. Ammu Abhirami is quite impressive in her role. Above the stars, the animals did a good job.
Analysis
The goat fight is not a new topic, yet it is dealt with a different angle. The director’s work is visible on the screen. No scenes appear to be forcedly inserted. The traditional goat fight is explained well, and the unknown details are interestingly shared. Sakthi Balaji’s composition is quite decent. The way the director narrated it is the interesting factor in the film, which helps the audience watch it throughout.
