Plot
Gandhi and Kannamma are a couple who are getting ready to celebrate Gandhi’s 60th birthday. Gandhi wants to surprise his wife. So, he hires an event planner, Kathir and his partner cum girlfriend. Gandhi has a piece of land. He sells it for hot cash, but demonetization comes as a trouble. What happened next forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Bala has done a decent job. Yet, he has a slight shake while facing the camera, as it is his silver screen debut. Balaji Sakthivel is good as Gandhi. Archana has got an emotional role to perform with ease. Balaji and Archana’s chemistry is highly laudable. Balaji’s tiny gags and trolls on Kannamma are good to watch. Namita is good in her role. The rest of the stars have done what was required of them.
Analysis
The story looks decent on paper, but the execution is not as impressive as expected. The screenplay should be taken care of. The affection between Gandhi and Kannamma is excellently written and portrayed. Yet, the repetition irks. Also, the scenes should make us emotional with their nature rather than forcing the emotions. The comedy works a little. And the high emotional scene between Gandhi and Kannamma is predictable. Not only their scenes, but the rest of the characters’ endings are also easily predictable. The last few minutes may impress the emotional movie lovers. The visuals are decent, and the music is good.

Although the film has a lot of predictable elements, the elderly love and emotional elements make it a decent one-time watch!
