Plot
The people in a village believe a curse by Paanchayi that the elder sons in the village will die if they get married. To escape from her curse, the villagers worship her as their god. However, the curse still exists. A few youngsters who don’t believe in the curse get married. They live only for a few days or months after marriage. As this is something supernatural, the villagers don’t complain about these deaths to the police. The protagonist, who doesn’t believe the curse story, marries his lady love despite the opposition from the villagers. Though the couple lives happily for some time, the protagonist’s mysterious death shocks his wife. The villagers believe that it is the curse that took his soul, but his wife firmly believes that something is behind the mystery. Was she able to find out the mystery behind these curse deaths? The rest of the film focuses on this.
Star Performance
Karthik, Rashmitha, Manoj, and Dasarathan are good in their roles. Satheesh delivered a decent performance.
Analysis
The film deals with the story behind the family deities. We have heard some similar scripts, yet this plot is a bit different. In many films, the heroes jump into the arena to find out the truth behind the mysteries. But, for a change, the heroine does that job. However, after a few scenes, the plot becomes predictable, as the story moves only with limited characters. However, the suspense behind the deaths of the eldest sons in the families is maintained till the end. The cinematography is pretty decent. The visuals are good despite the tight budget. The editing is average. The BGM is good, especially for the scenes where they speak about Paanchayi and the suspenseful scenes.

Verdict
Despite its flaws, the film has a simple plot and a few decent performances. If you are a fan of rural thrillers, you can try this film!
