Plot
Out of Range explores the pros and cons of disconnecting from technology. Four friends, Jerin, Subru, Sanjay, and Aashiq, were terribly burdened by their daily routines and demanding relationships. Realizing that their burdens were all because of their phones, on one such drastic day, the friends decide to take an oath of abandoning their phones forever to live in peace. This oath puts their life into misery making them face loss of job, disagreements within families and relationships, and surprisingly a sense of liberation. Was abandoning their phones a good idea or did they face terrible challenges? The answers are in the rest of the story.
Star Performance
A humorous storyline calls in for humorous performances of the cast. Nobody in the cast crew stands out exceptional justifying the humor. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Askar Ali, Sumith Samudra, Ajayaghosh, and Swathy gave apt performances.
Analysis
An entirely fresh concept is being introduced to the Malayalam cinema. The script could have had even more depth and character development. The performances of the actors are good.
The production value of the movie seems to be low considering the visuals of the film, and becomes a major drawback. The cinematography of the film could have been better. The music in the film is enjoyable.

An entirely fresh concept which had a lot of potential for success went wasted by cheap production values and underdeveloped storyline. Overall, it is a thought provoking tale.
