Director Deepu Karunakaran gives forth a sports drama filled with high- intensity energy and emotions blended perfectly to bring forth a smashing movie.

Plot: the story revolves around a sports event where Aby’s (Anoop Menon) volleyball team is to participate. When an unfortunate twist of the wheel of destiny lands Aby in an accident leaving him helpless on a hospital bed, his wife, the strong and confident Vandana ( Manju Warrier) takes it upon herself to coach the team. Now, the team, Krinkunnam 6, is no ordinary team. The team members are the former prison inmates of Poojapura Central Jail and are therefore good behavior is not exactly one of their qualifications. How Vandana, single- handed trains these men and whether she successfully realizes her sick husband’s dream of winning the match is what this power-packed Malayalam flick has in store for the viewers.

Analysis: Director, Deepu Karunakaran puts a lot of effort into this highly energetic venture. With the theme of a sports event, the movie unfurls so many aspects of life which is a commendable task in its own. The actors have put in huge effort to impart a further effect to the script. The storyline is well written and engaging. The theme of women empowerment, women strength, team spirit all are incorporated under one main plot. The high –voltage intensity of the movie is appealing and will be appreciated by the audience.

Star Performances: Manju Warrier gives a fantastic performance as the fearless Vandana, who is set to fulfill her husband’s dream. The idea of a strong female character is played by her to perfection. The volleyball players, Babu Antony, Gregory Jacob, Baiju, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sudev Nair, and Sudheer Khurana deliver amazing performances and fit the role of rowdy former jail inmates turned into team players perfectly.

What’s There: The story is energetic and will surely give adrenaline rush at certain points. The movie aptly balances the sports action quotient and the emotional touch in the script which will appeal to audiences of all kinds. The theme of never backing down and emerging victorious is highlighted in the most laudable way. The cast and their work are praise-worthy.

What’s Not There: The script is a little weak on the predictability quotient and some sub plots are quite predictable.

Verdict: Full of excitement, filled with loads of positive energy the movie is a definite entertainer which leaves the audience with a good feeling about life. The film brings out both the invincible individual spirit and the ever- victorious team spirit too. A worth watching flick adding mirth this festive season.
