Plot
Nisha lives happily with Vineeth. However, her life is shattered when someone stalks her, threatening to reveal her ‘dark past’ to her husband. When left with no option, Vineeth seeks the help of a brooding cop. Who gets to know the truth?
Star Performances
The only reason why this movie works in bits and parts is the acting of the ensemble cast. For all the flaws of the makers, they give their best to make this movie watchable.
Analysis
How about a crime thriller with almost zero thrills? Well, ‘Agathokakological’ is certainly one nice attempt in this direction!
The movie is about a woman, who is troubled by unwanted calls, and how one attempt at her life opens many ‘skeletons in the cupboard’. Not a bad idea for a crime thriller, right?
Yes, but the idea was only good on paper. Venkitesh CD took over many roles, but excelled only a bit in terms of editing. Had this movie been even 10 minutes longer, the viewers would have left midway.
‘Agathokakological’ is not at all appealing when it comes to keeping the audiences engaged. The twists and turns could be predicted from miles away, and the visuals are anything but impressive.
The background score of this movie is just average. It doesn’t add to the charm of the movie, but in some scenes, only makes the case worse. Venkitesh CD might have done a good job at the editor, but when it came to writing, as well as directing the movie, he did not leave a good impression.
Is the movie anywhere good? Yes, it is. For all the mess made by the makers, the actors do a great job in trying to attract the audiences. Leona Lishoy and Prasant Murali do a decent job as the couple in distress. However, it is Maqbool Salman, who nails it as the brooding, but committed cop, SI Ajith Kumar. Vasudevan Unni also does justice to his small but impactful role.

‘Agathokakological’ is a crime thriller that is anything but thrilling. The only good thing worth remembering about this otherwise drab movie is the acting of the ensemble cast, especially the performance of Maqbool Salman. Watch it only if you have the urge to test your patience.
