Mohan reveals the secret how he took over his boss. As the story furthers, the secret that opens up is disastrous. This trial, at last, finds him guilty. The story is about how Mohan reveals something that he would never tell anyone and what happens once he does.
Analysis: The film’s story is by Mohan who makes this perfect blend of romance and crime. The plot is so interesting that it is not possible for viewer’s attention to drop. Mohan as the director does a excellent work. The film does not make a chaos as one would normally expect. It is an organized one. All the scenes are done well with each one having a lot of relevance. No detail is left out. The story is such that it does not require many locales and characters. With these few members, the film is perfect.
A lot of work is visible at the execution. In spite of handling so many aspects of the movie like script, story, direction, production and even music, Mohan seems to do everything perfectly. The Cinematography by Prasad Babu is appreciable. He stresses on the important aspects of the film and does not miss out even a detail. The background of the rain suits the story even more. The music also suits the demands and needs of the film well. Overall it is a very engaging one.
Star Performances: S Mohan plays the lead as Mohan. In his case, there can be no mistake. The film is a one-man show. He reaches a level of perfection in this one. The entire story is on his shoulders and in no way does he disappoint the viewers. He is successful in creating a level of tension and horror in the minds of the audience and does not let it slip with time. Dattanna as Peter, Sharat Lohitashwa as Rachaiah, Srinivas Prabhu as Ramaiah do their parts well. They seem totally perfect for the roles they play.
However, Kari Subbu as Pandu steals the show among all of them. Kavita Bora as Isha hardly has a part to play, but she is still satisfactory. MN Lakshmi Devi has a very insignificant part. The artists have amazingly done their parts without giving any chance of complaint. They are all equally important in making the story go forward and to make the film work.
What’s there? The film has everything one would like to watch. Male Nilluvavarege has an amazing story which is different, good execution, brilliant narration, a highly substantial performance by all the actors especially Mohanlal and every other thing that a good film needs.
What’s not there? There is nothing as such that the movie does not have. There is no reason why one should miss this movie.
Verdict: Male Nilluvavarege is a must watch for all viewers.
