Plot
Meera loses all hope after being rejected by the person whom she loved dearly. Unable to bear the rejection, she decides to end her life by drowning in a river. However, she survives and wakes up after being washed up on the riverbank. Though she tries again, the result is the same, and she wakes up again on the riverbank. Soon, she finds out that she is on a time loop, and another person accompanies her. Richard Thompson is also struck on the same time loop, and he tries to save her. Will they get out of the loop before the seventh day? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Sangeetha and Artha have given some decent performances. Yet, they have to improve a lot.
Analysis
The time loop genre is not new to the Indian film industry. Yet, the Kaadu Male makers have taken the river and woods as the place of the time loop, which is quite unique from its predecessors. However, the time is the biggest concern in the film. Until the arrival of Artha’s character, the audience senses the boredom slightly. Though the making and the stars are new, the director should be appreciated for this new attempt. However, some crispiness is missing in the initial scenes, which also tests the audience’s patience. If those scenes were gripping, the film would’ve been elevated to a better level. The visuals and the BGM are decent. The editing should’ve been better.
