Plot
Set against the background of a local Kannada, this movie is all about the perseverance and the undeterred passion of a girl to follow her dreams. This girl, played by Sindhu Loknath is an aspiring actor and has only one chance to achieve her goal of becoming a famous actress. For this, she must travel for about two hours to an audition and clinch her opportunity. The movie is an “uncut, experimental film” which means that the story is shot frame-by-frame as per real-time. However, the girl is set to be married the same day as that of her audition. Will she be able to pursue her acting dreams? Or will she end up abandoning them and marrying the guy her parents chose for her? Watch the movie to find out!
Analysis
Since the movie moves at a real-time pace, it can get boring due to the lack of action scenes, time jumps and so on. However, director and cinematographer, Vikram Yoganand has tried to keep it interesting enough for the audience to enjoy. The narrative style of the movie is quite tiresome and can send the audience yawning most of the times. Also, the climax is a complete disaster with all “emotions coming flat.” The end drops on the audience ending all excitement in one flash. In spite of this, the background score is quite pleasant and makes up for most of the downfalls of the film.
Star Performances
The role of the protagonist played by Sindhu Loknath is portrayed wonderfully. Her performance, being quite impactful, could leave the audience mesmerized, wanting for more. Praveen Tej also does a marvelous role; worth remembering.

3. Cinematography is decent along with a good background score.

1. A good story-line which can keep the audience engaged.
2. A good narrative. The one in this noir is tiresome and borders on irritation.

Scouting a movie which is relatable to everyday life so much so that it seems like seeing reality on a screen? In that case, ‘Heegondhu Dina’ is the best option you could have.
