Teraa Surroor, which is touted to be the sequel of Himesh Reshammiya’s 2007 venture Aap Ka Suroor, has finally hit the screens today much to the celebration of Reshammiya fans. Aap Ka Suroor was both a musical and commercial hit. Let’s see how Tera Suroor has turned out.

Teraa Surroor has borrowed some aspects of Aap Ka Suroor that dealt with a Himesh charged with killing a television journalist, gets smitten by a girl, and is keen on proving his innocence. I don’t want to reveal in what way Tera Suroor is different. Watch the movie to know…

Star Performances

Himesh Reshammiya has worked on his physique for this film, and the result is good. He will strike the chord with all types of audiences. He has understood the pulse of the audiences and has acted accordingly. Farah Karimaee debuts in the big screen with Tera Suroor. She emits a good onscreen presence that makes one feel that she had enough scope for acting. Naseeruddin Shah adds luster to the movie, and so does " Shekhar Kapur".

Director Shawn Arranha might have felt that it’s better to take the safe route of doing a masala film rather than experimenting with something. Tera Surroor is interspersed with all the essentials of a commercial potboiler.

What’s there?

  • Reshammiya, who had earlier given soulful music to the audiences, has emerged victorious with Tera Suroor too. His music will strike the chord with the audience. However, the songs are devoid of variety.
  • Darshan has done a good job for the number Main Who Chand and so is Aditi Singh.
  • Wafa Ne Bewafai is another song which will impress you. Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan have done an earnest work.
  • The chemistry between Himesh and Farah is refreshing.
  • The exquisite locales are a treat to the eyes and the scenes shot in Irish capital including car chases etc. deserves credit.
  • Patriotism is also sprinkled in the movie.

What’s not there?

  • The story could have been written in a more convincing manner.
  • There are several twists post interval that one gets confused.

Watch it if you are a die-hard fan of Himesh Reshammiya, he won’t disappoint you.
