Plot 

The film is a biography of Tarla Dalal Mrs. Tarla Dalal was born on 3 June 1936 in the ci >> Read More... , India’s iconic home chef, who published multiple bestselling cookbooks and had her cooking show. She even received the prestigious Padma Shri award for her contributions to the field of cooking. The film follows Tarla, played by Huma Qureshi, from her youth when she was trying to find her purpose in life. But before she could do something, her parents arranged her marriage with Nalin Dalal, played by Sharib Hashmi. She was caught in the web of fulfilling the necessities of mundane life after marriage. She spent all her time caring for the house, her husband, and their three children. But then she realizes that she needs time for herself. She decides to follow her passion for cooking. The film follows Tarla on her journey to become a celebrated vegetarian chef with multiple publications and a cooking show.   

Star Performance 

Huma Qureshi is perfect as Tarla Dalal. She gives a spectacular performance as a wife, a mother, and a chef. Sharib Hashmi has also provided a stellar performance as a progressive husband.

Analysis 

The film is a good biography of Tarla Dalal’s life, focusing on her efforts, struggles, and success. The film does not attempt to dramatize any aspect of her life unnecessarily.
