Plot
A Dalit man is killed in a commotion in the 80s. His wife had just delivered another girl child. After two decades, the girl, who is very strong with her thoughts, had a tough challenge with a politician and that bring her to politics. With the guidance of Masterji, a powerful Dalit leader, she grows up in politics. The tough situations she faced and how she came to power form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Richa has done her best in portraying a young politician. Saurabh Shukla has done his part perfectly. Manav and Akshay fit well in their roles.
Analysis
Subhash Kapoor’s writing is neat and he has shown in detail how caste discrimination affects people’s lives. While working on the lead character, he should have taken a bit extra care. Although the titular character is penned well, the character’s aim is not shown deeper. However, the vote bank, caste issues and the rest relating to politics are depicted decently. The main thing is that the makers had not opted for any unnecessary songs. If there had been some songs, then it would have definitely become a cinematic one.

The story, performance and production values are important for a film and that is present in Madam Chief Minister. If we sideline some negative points in the film, then it is definitely, worth watching, once!
