Plot
Mahua is a tribal woman, who is married to an exorcist, Ojha. She is pure by heart. Mahua feels that she has been trapped in the marriage, which has no love. She has to abide by the tradition and societal norms, though she is tortured by her ruthless husband, who beats her daily. One fine day, she finds out her true love. Will she be able to break the societal barriers and live her life as she wishes? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Hrishitaa, who plays Mahua, did justice to the given role. Her eyes speak more than words. Hemant Pandey played the role of Ojha, an abusive husband. He did his job flawlessly. The rest of the cast did their part, as required.
Analysis
The makers tried to expose how tradition and society are barriers to an individual’s personal life. The screenplay is slow, but the dialogue is okay. The visuals are pretty decent and the editing is neat. The makers have rightly picked Hrishitaa and Hemant for their roles. The transformation of a woman from burying everything inside her to bursting out is shown. Certain scenes make the audience feel that the happenings are a bit exaggerated. Though the running time was low, certain scenes needed to be chopped off.

Though the film speaks about traditions and societal pressures, it doesn’t give a complete feel. If you want to watch a different film this weekend, you can try it once!
