is based on James Dashner’s 2009 novel of the same name. This is director Wes Ball’s debut. In this, a 16-year-old boy played by Dylan O’Brian lost his memory and finds himself in the middle of an intricate maze along with some other boys.
Plot
The storyline of this movie is quite interesting. A boy loses his memory and finds himself in a maze with some other boys. All of the boys do not know anything except their names. Every month they get supplies and a new boy from the elevator. How they escape, form the rest of the story. This is quite similar to that of the Hunger Games series. Despite having such similarity, it attracts the youth for its amazing story and visuals.
Star Performances
Despite the big names, the director chose to work with the younger generation actors. Dylan O’Brian has done a fantastic job and gave depth to his character. There’s a young adult vibe in the film.
Analysis
It is an intense and entertaining film which roots the audience for a sequel to this movie. It is low-tech and properly story-driven movie which does not upset the audience. In fact, it is better than the expectations.
