The first version of this film was quite a hit and the expectations on this one is quite natural. And this film definitely is appealing.
Plot: Just like its previous version this edition deals with pessimism and optimism. Wess Ball provides you with sufficient action which elevates the level of the film. There are some aspects which are different from the previous version. Nevertheless, this film manages to keep you hooked to the seat, with its uniqueness. The story picks up where the previous edition ended; Dylan O’ Brien and his companion gladers are left stranded in an unknown place. This is under the control of

Wess Ball has handled direction well and the cast of the earlier edition as well as the newbies perform quite well. But it is Dylan O’ Brien, who virtually steal your hearts with his underplayed performance. The movie is indeed alluring. The cinematography of Guela Pado is appealing. The locations and characters are shown beautifully on the screen. Thanks to Gyula Pado! Writing could have been better, so that, there is connection between the first and second edition. This one is better than the first edition due to a couple of reasons; we want to immediately know what will happen next. The strong chase scenes are noteworthy in this flick. On the flip side, T S Nowlin’s screenplay falters. Human extinction is not clearly dealt with in this story. Humans, changing as zombies, owing to the reason of rising temperature is quite unreasonable.
Verdict: Though the flick has its loopholes it is watchable for its good entertainment value at many instances.
