The Maze Runner Teasers, Trailers, Video & Songs
The Maze Runner is a sci-fi thriller based on James Dashner’s novel “The Maze Runner”. The film stars Dylan O’Brien as Thomas, Kaya Scodelario as Terese, the only female Glader, and Aml Ameen as Alby who is the leader of the Gladers.
A teenage boy, Thomas wakes up and finds himself in a strange elevator. He remembers nothing about the world outside or his past. The only memory he has is about a mysterious organization named W.C.K.D. As he emerges, he finds himself with a group of teenage boys called the ‘Gladers’ who live in an enclosed surrounding called ‘The Glade.’ Every 30 days, a new boy arrives at the Glade along with new supplies. The Gladers have been stuck in there for three years and given up hopes of getting out through the Glade.
There lies a giant door in the Glade which opens every day and closes at night. It leads to a maze situated outside the Glade boundary. The group of teenagers is expected to solve the puzzle and get out on time before the door shuts down. Also, the maze changes every day. There are dangerous monsters called ‘Grievers’ in the maze who kills anyone stuck in the maze. So to escape, one will have to find his way out of the maze before the door closes, or else they die.
The film surely was a box office hit. With great acting, intense and entertaining storyline and a refreshingly dark approach, The Maze Runner clearly stands out from other YA sci-fi adventures. The design of the maze and the attacks by the monsters makes the moving completely thrilling and more exciting to watch. The real fun comes in navigating the maze, trying to get out before they are dead. The movie leaves the audience waiting for the sequel after its cliffhanger ending.
