The Inbetweeners 2 is a sequel to the 2011 movie The Inbetweeners and is based on the TV show by Channel E4, "The Inbetweeners."

Plot: Best friends Jay Cartwright (James Buckley), Will McKenzie (Simon Bird), Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison), and Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas) are now in their late 20s, but they retain their teenagers like habits. On Jay's invitation, the other three fly out to Australia, "the sex capital of the world”, to some of the most mental clubs and a country with great girls.

However, when they get there, the find that Jay is only a toilet attendant, and is living in a tent outside his uncle's house. Will as narrator, Simon as the nice-guy, Neil as the dimwit and foul-mouthed Jay go about their routine of failing to get girls and being ridiculous in this outing from Sydney to Byron Bay to Outback.

Analysis: When compared to the TV series and the predecessor of this movie, part 2 still has the same vulgar humor, but it doesn't come off as well as in the other two. It still has four lads with unique personalities, one that anybody could relate to. The movie shows a lot of sexism, racism, and homophobia. Some of the scenes take too long to get to the comedy of it, but when the comedy hits, it makes you forget the fails.

Star Performances: All the four leads have worked with their characters for so long, and it's obvious how comfortable they have settled into it. Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are directors cum screenwriters. Spencer Millman produced the movie. Ben Wheeler is the cinematographer, and some of his shots are great, and add to the humor element.

What's there?

1. The movie was shot at multiple locations in Australia, and that results in a breathtaking view throughout.

2. Part two picks off where part one stops, and so all the characters have a backstory.

What's not there?

1. The ending wasn't proper; it feels rather rushed and is like a hurried wrap-up.

2. A lot of the humor could be too vulgar or lewd for a certain audience and is not enjoyable at all.

Verdict: If you didn't like the TV series or the first part, you definitely wouldn't like this one either. But if you're a fan of the gang, go for this for a good few laughs.
